up next in the colonial theatre's first friday fright night series: william lustig's slasher classic, "maniac"!

admittedly, i hadn't even heard of this film until i saw it was going to be featured as one of the late night horror films at the colonial. a buddy of mine graciously lent me a bootleg DVD (thanks, brendan), i eagerly popped it into my computer, and any remaining shred of innocence that i had left evaporated sometime just after the infamous shotgun decapitation scene. i can't wait to see that on the big screen.

what's really going to set this screening apart (aside from the insane nature of the flick) is the fact that the film's director, william lustig, will be making an appearance at the theatre for the screening...he's agreed to do a Q&A the night of the showing. very cool.

we're hoping horror fans will really show up for this should make for an electric atmosphere!

I love this piece of yours. I saw this in an independent theater, maybe two years ago - you nailed it.

not a fan of the movie. but your poster is amazingly classy. especially considering how sweaty and unpleasant the movie is.
